Sri. SNS Charitable Trust was founded in the year 1997 with a cherished objective of serving the society in the fields of Education, Health and Industry. It has been administered and run by an elite and educated members consisting of Dr.S.N.Subbramanian, M.Tech, M.B.A., Ph.D., (Textiles), Ph.D., (Business Administration), Chairman, Dr.Rajalakshmi, M.B., B.S., D.G.O., Correspondent and Dr.V.S.Velusami, M.Sc., Ph.D., the Secretary. Since its inception, the trust has involved itself in benevolent activities, for inculcating quality education by promoting

The College

Dr. SNS College of Education is one of the best Co-Educational self-financing college affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University . It has been recognized by the NCTE, Bangalore . It is located on Thudiyalur- Saravanampatti Road , a few kilometers away from Coimbatore city. It is housed in majestic and imposing buildings with all infrastructural facilities.

The college offers B.Ed programme for the following faculties.

Infrastructural facilities

Fully equipped laboratories in various disciplines like Computer Science, Physical Science, Biological Science and Psychology are available for the student-teachers. A well equipped language lab has been set-up to enhance the individual's English language competence. The computer labs are designed with multi-media aids to make class-rooms teaching effective. Apart from the laboratories the class rooms for the student-teachers are well-designed and spacious to facilitate learning.

Eligibility criteria for admission

•  The candidates should have passed the U.G.degree examination in the 10+2+3 stream with the same main subject in Part-III for which he/she is seeking admission in the B.Ed course.

•  B.Sc (CS), BCA and B.Sc (IT) can apply for the optional Computer Science

•  Candidate with P.G degree alone will be considered for optionals Economics and Commerce provided they have taken the same subjects in their undergraduate programme also.

 

Laurels of the Institution

In the first batch of B.Ed examination conducted by TNTEU in June 2009 among the 750 Education Colleges in Tamil Nadu, our students have obtained the following ranks:

•  Top rank among all education colleges in Coimbatore district in the total marks scored by students in B.Ed., examination

•  Ms.M.Anuradha has obtained first rank in total marks scored in Coimbatore district

•  First rank in the State scored by Ms.K.Kavitha in the core paper ‘Education in Emerging Indian Society'

•  First rank in the State scored by Ms.R.Sivagami Sundari in elective ‘Computers in Education'

•  First rank in the State scored by Ms.R.Indhumathi in the Computer Science – Paper II

•  Our success in B.Ed examination conducted in June 2009 by TNTEU is 99%.
